State-Maintained Roads
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) maintains the following roads in Upper Uwchlan Township:
- Byers Road
- Conestoga Road (Route 401)
- Dorlan Mill Road
- Graphite Mine Road (from Byers Road south to Route 100)
- Little Conestoga Road
- Pottstown Pike (Route 100)
Problems on these state-maintained roads should be reported to PennDOT at (800) FIX-ROAD or (800) 349-7623 or at this link.
Township-Maintained Roads
Upper Uwchlan Township has approximately sixty miles of township-maintained roads. These roadways are maintained by the township's Public Works Department. If you see problems with potholes, overhanging tree branches, signage, debris, or traffic signals, please call the township at (610) 458-2318. You can also report street problems online.
Roads under construction in new developments, which will be dedicated to the township when work is completed, are the responsibility of the developer until such dedication takes place.
Private Roads
There are also various private roads in Upper Uwchlan Township. Contact the the Public Works Department at (610) 458-2318 to find out who is responsible for the maintenance of these roads.
