UPDATE March 24, 2020

On March 23, Governor Wolf issued a ‘Stay at Home’ Order for 7 Counties, including Chester County, to Mitigate Spread of COVID-19. Read the news release, which answers questions about what that means.

Township Operations Updates

The Upper Uwchlan Township office remains CLOSED to the public. However, residents are reminded that they may conduct business with the Township remotely. View the staff directory for telephone numbers and email addresses.

Trash and Recycling

At this time, there are no changes to trash and recycling pickup schedules. As always, be sure to put your Toters curbside the night before collection. The next yard waste pickup is scheduled for April 8.

BAG ALL TRASH. For the safety of the hauler personnel, all trash that is placed in your trash Toter must be secured in garbage bags. This will protect the personnel from needing to handle loose articles of trash. Unbagged trash will not be collected. Your single stream recyclables should still be placed in your recycling Toter unbagged.

Park Closures

Fellowship Fields and Larkins Field will now be closed to the public until further notice. Hickory Park remains closed. Upland Farms will continue to be open, but the portable bathroom will not be available. Individuals are reminded to clean up after themselves and their pets and use the refuse receptacles.

Billing and Payment Updates

Trash and Recycling - Discount Rate Period EXTENDED

The discount rate period for Trash and Recycling Payments has been extended to April 30. Residents who pay by April 30 will owe the discount rate of $308.70.

Pay Online

Residents can pay Trash and Sewer bills online at www.upperuwchlan-pa.gov/payonline.

Income Tax Filing: Federal, State, and Local EXTENDED

As you may have heard, Federal and Pennsylvania Income Tax Filing Deadlines have been extended 90 days to July 15. The deadline for filing Upper Uwchlan Township income tax returns has also been extended to July 15. Local income tax in Upper Uwchlan Township is collected by the Keystone Collections Group. Meetings and Events Cancelled through April 3

All non-essential meetings have been cancelled through April 3, 2020. View the Township Calendar. The electronics recycling event that had been scheduled for March 28 has been postponed to June 6, 2020. The Easter Egg Hunt that had been scheduled for April 4 has been postponed to a date to be determined.
