UPDATE March 17, 2020

Emergency Declaration

At their meeting on March 16, the Upper Uwchlan Township Board of Supervisors issued a Declaration of Disaster Emergency in light of the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The Declaration directs the Emergency Management Coordinator to coordinate the activities of the emergency response and authorizes Township officials to act as needed to meet the emergency without some formalities otherwise required.

Health Facts

Anyone with questions about COVID-19 is urged to obtain information from reliable sources such as the Centers for Disease Control (www.cdc.gov/coronavirus), the PA Health Department (www.health.pa.gov), and the Chester County Department of Health (www.chesco.org/coronavirus).
 
Wash your hands frequently, cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your arm, and stay home if you are sick.

Township Operations

The Upper Uwchlan Township office will be CLOSED to the public starting March 17, 2020. However, residents are advised that they may conduct business with the Township remotely. View the staff directory for telephone numbers and email addresses. You can pay bills online at www.upperuwchlan-pa.gov/payonline.


Police

At this time, there are NO changes to Police Department operations.  


Inspections

All building inspections will be postponed.


Trash and Recycling

At this time, there are no changes to trash and recycling pickup.


Parks

Fellowship Fields and Larkins Field will be closed to the public through March 27, 2020. Hickory Park remains closed. Upland Farms will remain open, but the portable bathroom will not be available. Individuals are reminded to clean up after themselves and their pets and use the refuse receptacles.

Meetings and Events

All non-essential meetings have been cancelled through March 27, 2020. View the Township Calendar. The electronics recycling event that had been scheduled for March 28 has been postponed to June 6, 2020. The Easter Egg Hunt that had been scheduled for April 4 has been postponed to a date to be determined.
