Curbside Disposal Information
Upper Uwchlan Township has twenty-four (24) curbside yard waste and leaf collections annually. These collections take place on Wednesdays; the dates are listed below.
What to do
Place leaves, yard waste, and grass clippings in biodegradable bags or in open containers (without any attached lids) for disposal. Tree limbs (no larger than 3" diameter x 3' long) must be bundled with string/twine. To guarantee collection, place materials curbside the night before. Please note: the Township is not responsible for lost or broken yard waste cans.
Biodegradable bags (5-pack for $2.50) are available for purchase at the Township Office, 140 Pottstown Pike, Chester Springs PA 19425
What NOT to do
DO NOT use plastic bags as these collections are composted. Leaf and yard waste debris in plastic bags will not be collected. DO NOT place yard waste in your UUT trash toters. Yard waste placed in these toters will not be picked up. DO NOT include construction materials with your yard waste. DO NOT overload bags or open containers with dirt, mulch, grass clippings or other yard waste materials as they may be too heavy to lift or break during lifting.
How to dispose of dirt and mulch
Homeowners can dispose of mulch in the Township compost dumpster or pay for a special collection by the Hauler. Disposal of dirt requires the homeowner to pay for a special collection by the Hauler.
