The Township of Upper Uwchlan is accepting bids for individual pieces of equipment (with operators) to perform Roadway Snow Removal services for the 2023-2024 snow removal season. Contractors may bid on all equipment needed or on individual pieces of equipment needed. All equipment bid must be in good working order and Pennsylvania road legal.
Proposals must be received by Gwen Jonik, Township Secretary, by 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2023
in a sealed envelope marked “Snow Removal Bid”. Proposals will be opened and read at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 in the schoolhouse at the Township Building located at 140 Pottstown Pike, Chester Springs, PA. Contracts will be awarded at the Board of Supervisors meeting on Monday, October 16, 2023, 7:00 pm or a subsequent meeting as determined to be in the best interest of Upper Uwchlan Township.
The following equipment is sought on an hourly, as needed, basis:

Qty 3 ¾ Ton or larger, 4 Wheel Drive Pick-up (or equivalent small 4x4 dump) Equipped with an 8 ½’ or larger Snowplow
80 hours each
Bid specifications are available on the Township website at www.upperuwchlan-pa.gov/Bids.aspx. A 10% Bid Bond or Certified Check must accompany all bids. Upper Uwchlan Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids or a portion of any bids. Successful bidders shall post a 10% Performance bond upon award of contracts.
