Stay-at-Home Guidance

To continue to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, Governor Wolf and Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine announced all 67 Pennsylvania counties will be under a stay-at-home order until May 8. The Department of Health has also issued guidance that if you must travel to a life-sustaining business, that you wear a mask in public to help mitigate the virus spread.

Governor's Plan for Re-Opening

Governor Wolf has outlined a plan for relief, reopening, and recovery that will keep Pennsylvanians alive and repair the damage this virus has caused across Pennsylvania. Details about this plan and resources can be found at governor.pa.gov/plan.

The color coded phases outlined by the Governor will be applied regionally. Secretary of Health Rachel Levine noted that our region - the Southeast - will NOT move to the yellow phase on May 8, due to the current level of new cases.

To decide when to move to a new phase, the administration will use Department of Health metrics and a data tool developed by Carnegie Mellon University. The full plan is available here.

2020 UUT Block Party Postponed

In light of the current public health concerns, the 2020 Upper Uwchlan Township Block Party has been postponed to a date to be determined. The health and safety of the people of Upper Uwchlan Township is the highest concern of the Board of Supervisors, who made this decision after careful consideration.

The Annual Block Party is an important tradition for our community, and we look forward to celebrating that community on a rescheduled date when we all come back together on the other side of the pandemic.

2020 Junior Police Academy Cancelled

It is with deep regret that we announce that the 2020 Junior Police Academy has been cancelled. The current public health situation necessitated this decision. With the uncertainty of what limitations on public gatherings which may still be in place in June, we needed to decide at this time our plans.

We wanted to advise all families in advance to give them plenty of time to make alternative plans for that week, rather than cancelling at the last minute. We do look forward to seeing everyone in 2021! All families that have already registered will be receiving an email from the police department with additional information.
