PA Turnpike to Replace Park Road Bridge

CHESTER SPRINGS, PA – Work continues on the replacement of the Park Road Bridge. Park Road spans the Pennsylvania Turnpike at milepost 310.4; the Turnpike Commission’s replacement of the bridge is in preparation for the expansion of the toll road.

Access roads have been installed along Park Road, and crews have set up staging areas in and around Hickory Park. Necessary stormwater controls are being installed now. Upcoming work includes relocation of utility poles and preparation work on the turnpike surface below the bridge.

A timeline for bridge work affecting traffic flow is to be determined. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, at least one lane of Park Road will remain passable over the bridge throughout the replacement project. Temporary traffic signals will be in place, and delays are expected. Please plan accordingly.

As a construction timeline and more information become available, the Township will provide them. Sign up to receive news notifications at
