The Census response period has been moved again; the Bureau’s counting operations will now end September 30, 2020.
Did you know that each person counted in the 2020 Census – including newborns and children - brings in just over $2,000 to the community, every year, for ten years? Now more than ever, a total count of our county’s population is crucial. While Chester County’s overall response rate is good, there are still some areas with lower response rates. If you have already completed the census, help encourage others to do the same! If you have not completed the census, please do so as soon as possible. You can respond today:
Over the next few weeks, census workers (known as "enumerators") will visit non-responding households in person, and can help you fill out the form. Census takers will wear masks and follow local public health guidelines when they visit your home. Here’s what to look for and how to verify that an individual is a census worker.
