Upper Uwchlan Township Receives Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from GFOA

CHESTER SPRINGS, PA – Upper Uwchlan Township has been presented with the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA). 2019 marks the sixth consecutive year that the Township has been recognized with this award.

To receive the budget award, the Township successfully satisfied nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation. These guidelines are designed to assess how well an entity’s budget serves as a policy document, a financial plan, an operations guide, and a communications device. The Board of Supervisors and Township staff are dedicated to the highest principles and established best practices in governmental budgeting, and the GFOA award reflects that commitment. The Board tasks staff, on an ongoing basis, with presenting a comprehensive and transparent document that clearly communicates to our residents both the priorities of Township government and the financial condition of the municipality.

The Board would like to thank the Township Treasurer, Jill Bukata, to whom a certificate of recognition has been presented. The Board also thanks the Finance Department and all the Township staff involved in the budget process for their efforts.
