CHESTER SPRINGS, PA – Construction of the Park Road Trail extension has progressed on schedule since work began earlier this year. When the project is completed, a 6-foot wide pedestrian trail will extend from Hickory Park (east of Moore Road) to Marsh Creek State Park.
The Township Board of Supervisors is pleased to announce that Phase I of the project is now complete and open to the public. Phase I limits of work include the entire length of the Marsh Harbour neighborhood on the south side of Park Road and continue west to Marsh Creek State Park. In addition to the grading, stoning, and paving of the pedestrian trail, new stormwater infrastructure was installed in the roadway, and stormwater seepage beds were installed under the base of the trail.
As work on the remaining phases continues, residents should continue to use caution in and around the construction zone. Township officials and the project contractor, Alan Myers, LP, would like to thank residents for their patience and attentiveness during the roadway lane restrictions. Construction is expected to be completed by October 31, 2019. Questions about the project can be directed to Upper Uwchlan Township at 610-458-9400.
