CHESTER SPRINGS, PA – Upper Uwchlan Township has been presented with the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA). 2018 marks the fifth consecutive year that the Township has been recognized this way. The award reflects the commitment and dedication of the Board of Supervisors and Township staff to meeting the highest principles and established best practices in governmental budgeting.
To receive the budget award, the Township successfully satisfied nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation. These guidelines are designed to assess how well an entity’s budget serves as a policy document, a financial plan, an operations guide, and a communications device. The Board of Supervisors tasks staff, on an ongoing basis, with presenting a comprehensive and transparent document that clearly communicates to our residents both the priorities of Township government and the financial condition of the municipality.
