PECO crews will be working along Pottstown Pike Upper Uwchlan Township between February and August 2018 to upgrade the infrastructure of the local electric distribution system.
This project is a part of PECO's System 2020 plan to upgrade and reinforce the electric system, "making it more weather resistant and less vulnerable to storm damage." In Upper Uwchlan Township, work will take place along Pottstown Pike (Route 100) in the northernmost part of the Township. See the map at the link below for specifics. Work along state roads, like Pottstown Pike, is expected to take place between 9 am and 3 pm.
Tree trimming work will take place beginning in February. In April, crews expect to begin working on electrical equipment, in some cases installing new poles and aerial wires.
The document at the link below offers additional details from PECO as well as a map of the roads where work will occur.
