The Municipal Authority has been instrumental in the planning, design, construction, and operation of the Route 100 Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). This state-of-the-art facility is a joint effort between the township and a group of private developers with new residential subdivisions within the Route 100 corridor.
The existing facility, with a treatment capacity of 300,000 gallons per day and a cost of almost $19.6 million, is designed for extra capacity to accommodate the future needs of the township. View more about the Route 100 expansion project
While the WWTP's wastewater treatment is a technical marvel, our method of disposing wastewater is at the forefront of a march toward greener horizons. Every drop of treated wastewater (effluent) is destined to be land-disposed
. Whether by spray irrigation or drip irrigation, our disposal methods replenish the groundwater in an environmentally friendly way.
