Building Permits

Most home projects will require a permit, and the requirements have changed, so please be sure to inquire if one is necessary before scheduling or beginning your home projects.

Applications, available at the Township building, must include two copies of your plot plan, and two sets of your project plans, clearly showing the work to be performed and the materials to be used. If you live in a development that has a Homeowners' Association, a letter of approval from them is also required at the time of application. Permits are usually issued in 2-3 weeks of a completed application package. NO work should begin until you receive your permit.

All contractors working in our Township must be registered - we have those forms available as well. Most projects will require at least one inspection during the project, as well as a final inspection.
