At a blink of an eye, Upper Uwchlan Township is celebrating its 150th birthday! The Township will be celebrating by dedicating an entire day to our loyal businesses and residents; past, present and future. To kick off the day, the following is planned:
· 5K “Fun Run & 3K Walk” 9:00 AM · · Parade through the Village of Eagle 5:00 PM Featuring Mummers Parade 2008 Winner “Fralinger String Band” · · Live local bands 6:00 PM · · Many Amusements for the kids & adults at Pickering Valley School Grounds 6:00 PM Special appearance by Sponge Bob Squarepants · Food Vendors ($5.00 Wristbands for food vendors to include: Bravo Pizza, Carmine’s, Montessano Bros., Stadium Grill, Village Pretzel, Root Beer provided by Victory Brewing) · Fireworks 9:30 PM
The traffic will be detoured off Rt. 100 at Byers Rd. (heading Northbound) to Graphite Mine Rd. (Loop Rd.) and Park Rd. to Little Conestoga (heading Southbound) for the duration of the festivities; 5:00 pm until end of fireworks. This will leave residents and visitors a chance to openly promenade throughout the village business area. |
